I have been very slack in keeping my blog up to date. Pathetic really! I have been busy blogging on many other sites and need to get my own up to date starting from NOW!
First of all my website will be getting a much needed update. A lot of great DIY tips, advice, photographs and great content to post on this new site.
It has been an extremely busy here in the Champley world, which is a great thing. I finished building our ultra modern green home last year between shoots, radio and writing a book just to name a few. I have been building and filming our home completely on my own for a few years now. Its not holding me hostage any longer. Well just a little as the landscaping is next. I will be sharing a lot of information and great photographs very soon!
I just finished writing a great book called "Same Place More Space" Tell you what, writing a book is no easy task. Not difficult, however it takes a lot of time. Did I mention it takes a lot of time! Just completed it with a great publisher: Chronicle Books. The book has been designed to educate people how to utilize all of the wasted space both inside and outside the home. How to work with a budget, a program and not to get divorced over the reno. I have been swamped with many requesting infomation relating to this subject. So I am going to give it to them and you guys. It is due to hit the shelves worldwide in a few months and available soon on amazon and many other sites.
My family and I visited our relo's (families) down under for a decent break just after Xmas. Well over due. I just returned again recently as I am in the process of developing/producing quite a large Australian film about my father in the 1940s. A true story that needs to be told. Baby steps at the moment. More on this as it grows.
My Home Live Radio Show has been growing tremendously with some great news coming very shortly. As usual I will be traveling to all of the trade shows across the United States to broadcast live giving you the latest updates on all of the new innovate products, design trends and tools that will be happening for 2011/12. I will be accompanied with my mates Cort Stoskoph, Alan Taylor and the team to make this happen.
I have been appointed as a judge for many events this year. A Home improvement makeover in New York City next month followed by KBIS (Kitchen and Bath Show) in Las Vegas. I will be posting more on this.
Lots more to tell and a full year ahead that I am looking forward to share.

Dear Karl, I am just moving into a house where are enormous amount of wasted spaces. I live in Spokane, WA I wonder if there would be any chance that you would like to have a show in my house. I know that you have hundreds of requests, and everybody things that her/his is the most important. My husband loves to keep everything. He has hundreds of vhs tapes,magazins, lots and lots of things. I don't know how to store them, the kids room is tiny and I would need some extra ideas there too. I moved to the states from Romania, and finaly we got to the stage that we bought a house three weeks ago. I have two kids Hanna 8,and Norman 5. I am turning 40 in May, would it be possible that you came to us? Sorry for bothering you, I just wish I had some help from you. If it is not going to happen that is ok too. I just want to let you know that your ideas and everything you do is so wonderful. Thank you for taking the time of reading my letter.

Much exciting news from you!! We cannot wait to see this book of yours. we will be in line waiting as we love, love your show. When will the book be available. Can I buy a signed copy directly from you?
We changed our third bedroom to a home office, sorted out our garage so we can park our car in it, finally! and my husband is considering to fit out the back of his truck to organize his tools. All because of you. Thanks a bunch Karl. You have a natural talent to get people excited and passionate about diy stuff.
